Home of the first subscription box curated to highlight black authors and entrepreneurs, BlackLIT is on a mission to close the literacy literacy gap. Born from a child's pain due to the lack of representation shown in the classroom and an educator's desire to close the literacy gap, BlackLIT is an answered prayer.

BlackLIT is bigger than any one person or one community, and it is designed specifically to motivate, highlight, reaffirm, and empower cultures who have been underrepresented in classroom literature.

Nia-Tayler Clark M.Ed, founder of BlackLIT,  is a mother and educator with a passion for literacy. She is currently a high school English teacher, who is dedicated to helping students use the power of literacy to discover and unleash the power of their own voices. BlackLIT is her passion project, fuelled by her faith, and she is looking forward to all that is yet to come.

Thank you Nia-Taylor for including us in your March box!
